Start:
The race starts at 11:00 close to the small triangle junction on the west of Thirlmere dam, approximately 1 km from registration. It will be flagged to get you there. Be careful when crossing a busy junction to get there from parking area 1. There will be a clothing dump here. I will have a supply of bin bags for you at registration to adopt that runners trick of wearing one to keep warm en route to the start.
The Course:
Roads will be OPEN, and as per UKA road race rules, you are required to run WITH the traffic. There will be signs and marshals to reduce\warn other road users.
Music players are not permitted, but if you wish you can sing as you run, assuming you have any energy to spare…
Finish:
You MUST stay in order at the finish so your number can be scanned. Please do not obscure the barcode on your bib.
Refreshments:
Refreshments are available at the finish before and afterwards (water, juice and biscuits).
